Quilting in the Red Rocks Quilt Show  April 30 - May 1, 2022 The Moab Museum will follow up with the  "Lotsa Dots" Challenge quilts for the month of  May 2022 2022 QUILTING IN THE RED ROCKS QUILT SHOW After canceling its scheduled 2021 quilt show because of Covid 19, Delicate Stitchers Quilt Guild is back on track and happy to celebrate its twenty-fourth anniversary by presenting its 11th biennial Quilting in the Red Rocks Quilt Show!   The location is the Grand Center, 182 N. 500 West, and will be held the weekend of April 30 & May 1.   The hours are Saturday, April 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Admission, as always, is FREE!   Antique, traditional and art quilts, previous challenge quilts, quilted home décor and wearable art will be on display, along with our beautiful red and white Opportunity Quilt made by Guild members and expertly quilted by Lou Gostlin. It is queen/king sized.   Tickets for the quilt will be on sale at the show.

Show and Tell/March 2022/Delicate Stitchers

  Deb created this special design for a class.  She finished it for a class on basic quilting techniques.  I love this pattern, all original. Cathy created this cute quilt for a nephew.    The second quilt is the alphabet, So charming.   The top quilt is the "back" for when the child is older so he can play with his Hot Wheels cars on it. Paula  made this beautiful, subtle blues and lavender sampler quilt, lap size, She also showed us her practice doodling, quilting designs taught by Peggy Kim  made this gloriously colored quilt that reminds us of a sunset.   She also made the variegated quilt made as "quilt as you go".  She finished it on a long arm machine.  Love the fabric's arrangement. Glenda  made this wonderful wall hanging made with tiny 1 inch squares, all perfectly matched -  using a technique using printed squares on " pellon" (almost like paper piecing).   Tina  made this pillow top with 3 applique flowers and her appliqued heart - both nic
