  January 2021 Welcome to a new year!   Links to our newsletters are found on our Newsletter Page.  You can read the current one if you click  Here . Show and Tell from our Zoom Meeting on Tuesday  January 5th. Audrey showed a baby blanket she is making out of  repurposed wool cashmire sweaters to be added to the cute minky back.  Oh and check out that cute little baby hat. Audrey and Peggy traveled to Fort Collins Colorado and met up with a friend from South Dakota.  4 fun days of sewing ensued.  The design wall shows a sampling of work completed.   Mini - Retreats during this Covid time is the way to go. Shauna is helping out a friend who made the center part of this quilt.  She was struggling with the borders.  This is a quilt made of cotton and minky. Minky can be challenging because of its stretch! Here are details showing the back of the quilt and the border with the corner block.    Shauna used a whole bag of selvages to make several blocks.  She did Quilt As you Go so now they

 January 12, 2021 We are exploring ways to combine the newsletter and blog.  Our January 2016 Newsletter is linked here.   This is a test to see how this will work.  If you are subscribed and you got this in your email, just know that's what is going on, and thank you for playing along!  And if the test works... Then we will soon have a current newsletter to publish for 2021. Peggy has agreed to do the newsletter and the blog at least for now.  She is requesting that members send photos to her email.  In addition, to make this a great inclusive newsletter she is asking members to send favorite seasonal recipes,  cool quilting tips, or links to great tutorials as you come across ideas.  Please help!    Peggy taught a lesson entitled Taming Your Stash.  Basically, it was about getting the stash organized.  She demonstrated her nice neat stacks of fabric in her cupboard and showed how she folds the fabric around a ruler.  This link will take you to a You tube video showing the same th
