Show and Tell/March 2022/Delicate Stitchers

Cathy created this cute quilt for a nephew.    The second quilt is the alphabet, So charming.   The top quilt is the "back" for when the child is older so he can play with his Hot Wheels cars on it.

Paula  made this beautiful, subtle blues and lavender sampler quilt, lap size,

Kim  made this gloriously colored quilt that reminds us of a sunset.   She also made the variegated quilt made as "quilt as you go".  She finished it on a long arm machine.  Love the fabric's arrangement.

Glenda  made this wonderful wall hanging made with tiny 1 inch squares, all perfectly matched -  using a technique using printed squares on " pellon" (almost like paper piecing).

Tina  made this pillow top with 3 applique flowers and her appliqued heart - both nicely done and so cute.

Audrey Graham, first, showed us a small wall hanging in memory of guild member Sandy  Freethey"s husband.  It has appliqued items specially selected to show his interests and talents.

Audrey made two denim bags with appliqued horse on front of each.  The handles are made from durable leather belts - very clever, and useful.

Linda  showed us this really wonderful Quilt of Valor made with red/white/blue half square triangles.  It is for her son who is in the navy.

Linda showed us her appliqued shamrock, wall hanging for March, colorful and cute.

Susan displayed for us two quilts made beautifully by her husband.  This first one is a southwestern design called Moab Star made with turquoise and tans.  The next one is landscape with some 3D cacti, perfect for a house in Moab!  Well done, Lee.

Lou  displayed for  us these "outhouse" wall hangings.  She made them for her bathrooms.  I have a place for one of these, Lou, in my house!

This King size quilt by Lydia  is made from T-shirts for a friend who came to her with 75

t-shirts.  As  you can see on the top quilt, Lydia used some T-shirts on the back.  This quilt is an inspiration to us all.

Marian  made this quilt for a local charity  using fabric from the sewing room in the Senior Center.  See what wonderful fabrics you can use from this collection.  Really cute quilt.
