The challenge for the Moab Museum this year is "Flower Power" so several members this month brought flower quilts to show. Some quilts shown were entered in the museum show in past years but they are appropriate for this year too. This one from Peggy is called "Blue and Daisies" made for this year. It is very pretty. This quilt is from 2016 by Peggy. It is called "Poppy Convergence" This is a special quilt type method, where the original quilt is sewn, then sliced apart and then sewn back together. Peggy did this with the main fabric, then the poppies were appliques on top. Very impressive and a lot of concentrated effort. The name of this quilt is "Take Time to Smell the Flowers", made in 2011. Look closely, amidst the several 9 patches is the cat in the bottom right corner among the flowers. This quilt is unusually created concept, very pretty. This quilt was made in 2008, called "Postcards from Home"....
