July 2020 Show and Tell

July 2020 Show and Tell The Delicate Stitchers Quilt Guild had their monthly meeting at Rotary Park with proper social distancing. Some of the ladies and gents are staying busy finishing up their UFO's and other sewing projects. The quilt above was made by Audrey... "Summer Garden."  The outside border uses leftover pieces making it irregular or wonky.  Then on the top border she used some embroidered dishtowels making a great border for the pillow tops on the bed. Below is a quilt Shauna made using all the scraps left over from the big block quilt below this one. Shauna made this quilt after she was given 10 blocks.  She finished the quilt by making two more blocks and adding the scrappy sashing.     Shauna taught the Flying Geese block for our lesson and then showed how she uses all the little triangles a person cuts off when making a flying geese block.  Notice all the tiny half square triangles in the quilt below!  Unlike many of us, Shauna not onl...
