January 2026 Show and Tell

Aaron's Quilt top made for her daughter "Poppy."  Made from a fabric kit... Peggy won the kit at a quilt retreat and was glad to see someone actually use it!  Yay Aaron and Poppy!

Michele showing some fabric from her upolstery business and a crocheted block she made as a child.  She wants to make a quilt with it along with fabric in the quilt room at the Grand Center.

Lori with another turtle wall hanging... This one is for her!

Lori's Balloon Festival Quilt... She has had it stashed away for the quilt show.  Her dog sheds three colors of hair, so it's been a challenge to keep it clean!

A close up of the sky and fussy cut balloons!

Audrey showing her prize winning (2nd place) medallion quilt!  Congrats Audrey.  Such a fun design.
Audrey showing off the cute purses we made at our last Sew Saturday... Hexagon purses... I only caught the picture of the back of the purse where she added some leftovers!  We loved that idea.

Bren visiting this month and attending our quilt retreat showed her journals where she keeps track of all the fabric she uses in quilts and also writes down who they go to.

Mary with her Medallion Quilt

Pat, one of our new members is showing the little Christmas trees she made for her friends this year.
Below she is showing a quilt she made for someone else, but decided it was hers after all.
It would be hard to part with.

Bernie, another of our new members, pulled some fun things out of her bag.  She and her other friends from her other guild make things for their boutique... Check out the cute chicken the the bags made from men's ties!  Sorry Bernie for the poor photography!

Deb showing her UFO Attic Window Quilt.

Deb showing her medallion quilts ...

Deb's prize winning quilt...

Medallion made with a panel found in the quilt room.

Deb showing the Nature Journal books she will be teaching at the Canyonlands Quilt Retreat.

Shauna with another one of her scrap quilts using 2" squares.  I think she said she finally got to the bottom of her squares.  She has so much fun with color.

Shauna also had a file folder filled with double nine-patch quilt blocks made with squares slightly less than an inch.  The squares came from one of those fabric fairies.  :)  She says it will be done in time for our quilt show!
