Mary Wakeley is enjoying this book as she has been traveling . |
Several of the little Cross-stitch patterns she has completed.
Also, she whipped out these cute little bird ornaments which she gave out at the picnic.
A friend or relative of Mary's made her this lovely sheath for her scissors. Wren is her camp nick name.
Very Yummy food! Crystal made these bars. Pat brought bacon wrapped figs with an almond in the center of each. Also good salads, bread, and pulled pork sliders...
Selling tickets for our opportunity quilt this year.
We use the proceeds to pay for our bi-annual quilt show and to offset the cost of some of our service projects.
Watching that cute colt run around the arena was one of the best parts of the rodeo!
July Meeting - Show and Tell
Crystal taught a lesson on doing English Paper Pieced Hexies. Glenda showed off her Hexie projects as part of the lesson.

Glenda's adorable Hexie Quilt. I don't think she did English Paper Picing on this, but half hexies instead. Check out the quilting on this! So lovely!

Audrey is showing a block she made for The Disappeard Quilt Project - Witness at the Border. Her block is showing the very sad story of a little boy washed up on the shore. 😢
Since Audrey has retired only a month ago... she has been very busy with her projects. She is showing a minky book with carry handle and a quilt top she found already done at the thrift store. She plans to quilt it and give it away.
This is the swirly pattern done with a border fabric and 60 degree ruler. Fun!
And below, a quilt top that Audrey did in one of the retreat classes. Her daughter loved it but wanted a duvet cover instead of a quilt. Love those matching expressions! :)
Shown here is a bicycle scarf that Audrey had to seam in the back so all the bicycles would be right side up! A darling owl found at thrift store needing a way to re-attach the head. She inserted a dowel and now the owl can turn its head 360 degrees. She also made a bag, which she loves to do and being so thrifty she attached a used belt to it for the handle. In retrospect, she wishes the fabric was heavier to match the heft of the belt.
