Delicate Sitchers Show and Tell, November 2022

Deb showed us this Darling quilt.  She named it "Solomon, the Elephant".   I call it the Elephant Safari.  She made it for her daughter-in-law for Christmas.  The DIL loves safari animals.

A closeup of another one of the elephants.

Marian showed us this wall hanging "Autumn Geese".  "I made this for Laura Senter when we did the fabric exchange challenge.  The circle of flying geese is paper-pieced using freezer paper.

I tried to get a closeup of the geese, here it is a little blurry.  The circle of flying geese is very inspirational, a challenging method for a quilting pattern.

Lydia showed us this quilt she named "Sparkling Stars".  It is made with her favorite colors of purple and turquoise.  The back is in complimentary colors, the last picture here is a closeup of back, so pretty, and perfect for the name of the quilt.

Glenda showed us this quilt, front and back, a quilt she made for a class with Mary Wakely,  This is a beautiful quilt and looks like a lot of careful work.,

Glenda also showed us some single star blocks she's been working on, hopefully for a full size quilt. This is a charming block, that looks more complicated to make than it is.

Cathy showed us this toddler sized quilt she made called "Open Boxes".  It is a pattern perfected by Deb Slechta.  It was made for Cathy's great granddaughter, Theodora.  The colors here are unique, warm and beautiful.

Audrey created this series of potholders as gifts.  One each is for a new family who has built a house at a special development  here in Moab - 17 families total. The birds represent the women who donated the 41 acres of land which will eventually house 300 families.

Audrey also showed us samples of fabric she got at the Canyon Country PowWow last month.  the source of the fabric - www.shokotaowwowsuppluy.com.  I showed this particular piece because is so distinctly beautiful.  How could  you ever cut this up for anything.  Very special.
