Delicate Stitchers, Show and tell, July 13, 2022

Mary Wakeley presented a lesson on using 60 o rulers for creating interesting quilts, inserting triangles in various configurations.  Here are shown her table runners, small quilts, and a lap sized quilt, all using the triangular ruler.

Pat Byrd showing here a Patriotic flag quilt, UFO which was started in 2021 as a block exchange with a quilting group she belongs to.  The center is a panel, flag, with special blocks surrounding it.

Peggy Harty showed us a large Queen size bed quilt, in Red, white, and blue/green.  It is a UFO from 2010 Pack Creek Mystery quilt challenge, pieced and quilted by Peggy.  Large, beautifully made quilt.

I didn't get the details from this quilt.  It was shown by Audrey, very cute lap sized quilt in reds.

"House" pillow for the executive director of the SE Utah Housing Director and his new wife.  This is an inspirational pattern, very well done by Audrey.

Auidrey with her granddaughter and paper dolls.  Thank you for coming little one,

Cathy Tuhy - SW images quilt for my mother,.  The artist for the fabric is Tammy Wenderlich.  Look at each picture, so beautiful, each one.  The setting for the pictures is wonderful, perfect colors.

Cathy Tuhy made this special little insect quilt as a gift for Audrey and Tim.  She presented it to Audrey that night at the meeting,.

Several quilts from Candi Niesen.  The first one is a row by row quilt of Moab, Candi's memories.  She pointed out to us each of the buildings and what they represented.

This quilt was Candi's study in paper piecing.  As she says, she is still trying to learn,.  I took a closeup of the center, sorry it's so blurry.

From Candi:  Watercolor from Canyonlands quilts for the large panel.  "I just designed as I went. 😄

This quilt was made with strips of mostly blue fabric in the "String Quilt"style.  Instead of putting down the fabric strips on a foundation, like paper or muslin, I sewed it, putting down a backing square, a batting square, then sewing the blue strips, "sew and flip" method.  After squareing them up, I joined the squares, no more quilting and it's done.  Below is the picture of the back squares

This quilt from Lou is a UFO started in 2021 and finished in 2022.    Mostly Reds and whites, for winter.
