Delicate Stitchers of Moab

This quilt is an example of a "String" quilt.  It's made be sewing random strips of fabric, leftovers from other projects.  Shauna pieced this and quilted using her walking foot and sewing wavey lines from top to bottom.  It's an easy quilting technique on a quilt like this one. This quilt from Shauna was simply squares of very soft flannel, crib sized for a charity in town.  This quilt from Shauna can be called "Starry Night" .  "I had a stack of blue squares and made them into 9 patches.  To add interest I made the yellow and white stars  which would have shown up better if there wasn't such variety in the blue 9 patches." Glenda showed  us bag with Crosstitch Chicken made by Betty Badger.   Named Beatrice the Chicken and Little Bee.   Candi showed us two tops, as yet unquilted.  The first one - Bear Paw - with panel in turquoise was made by Bonnie Stocks.            This panel of a Elk was made by Candi.  Panels are always appreciated, blocks made to match the picture in the panel. Audrey showed us her cute fabric bag - the pictures of the fabric don't show as well as they should, So cute.  The handle was made from a belt from the thrift store - a clever way to provide a strong bag handle. At the museum in town, each spring our guild is challenged with a theme to create wall hanging size quilts for display.  This year the challenge was "Flower Power".  The quilts are displayed in an earlier post.  Patrons were encouraged to vote for their favorites, and some added comments.  These are samples of what patrons thought of our quilts.   "All the quilts are amazing!
