September Show and Tell

Image
Deb Slechta shows the quilt she made with 6.5" squares.  The Squares are sewn in a grid and then cut on diagonals. When the triangles are sewn back on, the quilt magically appears on point.  She added a flange to the bordered edge  because the side triangles have their points cut off.   She gave out instructions and planned to teach it on Saturday for those interested.  Makes a great baby quilt or lap quilt. Chyrrel showed several samples from her shop. A make and take Table Topper, a Tree Skirt, Advent Calendars and a panel made into Attic Windows. Go to Canyonlands Quilts   and checkout all the fun projects coming up.   She also announced two clubs she is starting at the shop, a Featherweight Club and a Long Arm quilting club. Petenia showing a quilt she made for her neice to take to college.  She likes strawberries and raspberries which are depicted in her color choice.  The back of the quilt also had some fabrics with the fruit.
