Sewing Room and Studio Tour - August 2025
Sew Saturday in August four quilters opened up their homes to show the spaces that they sew in and how they organize all their fabric and notions. It was so fun to see everyones' space. In some cases it included a tour of the house and grounds. Here are a few of the take aways: Having no carpet makes it easy to clean up threads. Audrey showed her space for sewing but explained that she doesn't sew as often in that room as she does at retreats, in her camper, and at Sew Saturday. Consequently she likes having things organized for shopping so she can grab and go. A Tension rod is great for ribbons. This is under Audrey's cutting Table. Audrey likes having a catch-all basket for supplies in waiting. Audrey showed a basket of stuff where she cleaned off her space. All the stuff then will be later distributed to its proper place.
